Strategises, manages and coordinates the project’s field work, and various projects activities related to elephant, rhinoceros and orang-utan conservation in Sabah. Works closely with the government departments, especially the Sabah Wildlife Department, Sabah Forestry Department and Sabah Foundation Group.
Dr. John Payne
Advisor
Provides technical expertise on species conservation work in Sabah. Also works closely with the Sabah Wildlife Department, Sabah Forestry Department and Sabah Foundation mainly on policy and management of wildlife and forestry issues.
Lee Shan Kee
Field Biologist
Coordinates the ground orang-utan survey in Ulu Segama Malua Forest Reserve. Responsible for acquiring data and information on which habitat type orang-utans in this area prefer. Works closely with other orang-utan scientists in the study area, and is a dedicated person in primate population study and monitoring.
Diana Anthony
Team Leader - A Geographic Information System (GIS)/Remote Sensing
Applies GIS and remote sensing technology to coordinate the acquisition of spatial attributes and conditions of elephant, rhinoceros and orang-utan habitat. Works with the government on spatial data sharing, development and modelling. Ensures the development of GIS covers elephants, rhinoceros and orang-utans as the project focuses on conservation of all three species in the Heart of Borneo.
Sharon Koh
Programme Trainee
Coordinates the study of orang-utan health in North Ulu Segama. Loves to be in the field doing orang-utan conservation work. Works closely with other scientists on orang-utan study and is responsible to study the status of orang-utan's health in poor forest and isolated forest habitat.
Edwin Matulin, William Joseph, John Japil and Middle Seen Kapis
Programme Assistants
Assists the field biologist and team leader in field work such as transect surveys, monitoring of orang-utan behaviour and other field related work.
