Donate to help us save nature and combat climate change.
Extreme weather events are becoming more frequent and severe. Roads and homes are being washed away, floods are displacing communities, and rising temperatures are making heatwaves more intense and dangerous. At the same time, water scarcity is threatening food and water security, putting livelihoods and ecosystems at risk.
But the damage goes beyond what we can see. As shorelines erode and forests disappear, ecosystems lose their balance, disrupting habitats and pushing species closer to extinction. With every loss, biodiversity declines, and nature’s ability to protect us from climate disasters weakens. If we do not act now, these cascading effects will continue to threaten our environment, economy, and way of life.
You will get a tax exemption receipt and thank you gift (varies according to donation amount and delivered within Malaysia only) for your important and valuable donation.

Land Use Changes, such as intensive agriculture
-
Industrial Activities, such as fossil fuels
-
Urbanisation, such as intensive agriculture, and waste generation.

-
Prolonged droughts, intense rainfall, and rising temperatures are leading to more severe heatwaves, worsening deforestation and land degradation. According to the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S), 2024 is officially the hottest year ever recorded worldwide, marking the first time the average global temperature has gone over 1.5°C above its pre-industrial level.
-
Changes in rainfall patterns have caused more severe floods, resulting in RM7.9 billion in losses between 2021 and 2023. Coastal erosion and rising sea levels are also displacing communities.
-
Climate change is increasing heat-related illnesses such as heat stroke, heat exhaustion, and hyperthermia.
-
Malaysia’s agricultural sector, including key crops like palm oil, rubber, and rice, is facing declining yields due to increasing water scarcity and heat stress as climate change worsens extreme weather conditions. This affects livelihoods, especially for our farmers and smallholders. It also affects our food security.

Your donation helps WWF-Malaysia to:
-
Advocate for stronger policies to promote and strengthen climate action and resilience by protecting nature.
-
Protect communities and build stronger, climate-resilient cities by collaborating with partners to incorporate nature-based solutions into climate adaptation as well as climate mitigation, and disaster risk reduction. Our initiatives include a study on Net Zero pathways for Malaysia, the Southeast Asia Climate Adaptation and Resilience (SEACAR) Alliance, and our partnership with the Malaysian Red Crescent.
-
Inspire change by raising public awareness on nature’s potential to address climate change.
